Lord Ganesha- son of Shiva kindly destroy all obstacles in my path towards an awakened enlighten life. Lord Ganesha (ganapati) is invoked at the beginning of every spiritual event, ceremony, and endeavor. He is on perch on the dashboard of 99% of India’s motor vehicles to protect the drivers path from harmful obstacles .

When to Use

Ganesha is always remembered (meaning being called to mind) at the beginning of every worthy endeavor to insure a positive outcome. You are under the protection of the son of Shiva who wields the power to create and destroy.

Story

The story of Ganesha the son of Shiva and Parvati begins with a father who is often off meditating on My Kalas many days weeks and even years at a time. As Lord Shiva was absent for many months his wife and Goddess Parvati grew ripe and in time gave birth to a beautiful healthy son. He was a normal perfect young man and although he had the strength and power of his father, he appeared as any other growing boy.

Time marched on and finally years passed and father returned to his wife. Now she had waited entirely to long and was set on making a statement to her husband. She ignored his requests to see her and she set her son, Ganesha to protect the door so his father could not pass. Having never met, father and son battled hand to hand and Shiva could not pass.

Shiva was puzzled by this, I am lord of the Universe and This child stops me, I must out smart him. And so the next day Shiva comes with his men and as men come from the sides ganesha turns and battles the oncoming troops while Shiva takes his sword and cuts off the head of his son. The commotion ends and the head of the boy rolls away.

Parvati appears at the door now mortified Shiva has killed his own son. Shiva in utter dismay pleads for forgiveness and chopped the head off the near by elephant attaching it to the boys body, returning a now elephant headed boy to his mother. Now reinstalled with the intelligence and power of lord Shiva this special diety has the power to ward off all obstacles in the path of the devotee.
