Should you require oxygen….

I was speaking to a dear client and friend last week about travel anxiety.  She related her struggle to enjoy travel because of the strain she feels with the actual  ‘travel’ part of taking a trip. I promised her I would write a “how to travel in grace and ease” post and put my passport to spiritual travel in print, (already written just a bunch of projects ahead of it.)

Travel can be either exciting and fulfilling or a pain in the you-know-what. For me, it has been a mixed bag.  Since I have been traveling now for both pleasure and work, I have developed some excellent strategies for making travel more enjoyable, all the way around.

In this post, we will include 3 easy strategies for packing, how to navigate the airport and security line, and how to set the hotel room for a happy stay and a good night’s sleep.

Packing for a Trip

1.) Before I pack, I get myself in a calm happy place. You can do this by using the wealth meditation.  In the time normally used for mockups, you can  see how comfortable and safe your travels and all your connections will be.

2.) Organization has always been problematic for me until I created a simple system for all the usual stuff of travel: I got a few containers and set up a drawer in my linen closest to reach in and grab what I need. It took a few months to get it down, but it now is simple and easy. I am not spending tons of time figuring out what I have brought or forgotten. I reach into the bin organized in sections and grab the deodorant, q-tips, and hairspray, and the list goes on all in one place.

3.) For clothing, it is helpful to have 3 to 5 outfits that you can mix and match so you can get more mileage from less items of clothing. I suggest wearing natural fabrics,  like cotton and comfortable shoes, for navigating the airport. We are looking at cutting down the sense of strain or pain.

Navigating airports and transportation

1.)  If you have anxiety around travel, I would suggest that you do a white rose meditation. Follow the typical guided meditation from virtually any of my subjects and at the end, add a white rose to the process.

After you have grounded and cleared your energy, imagine a white rose in front of you. See the white rose, then create a path to your destination.  Imagine it getting you all the way there without complications or difficulties.  Imagine the rose getting you safely into the bed you will sleep in.

2.)  I recommend pulling your aura into 18 inches around your body when you are in airports. This will help you with avoiding the muddiness and gunk in other people’s disrupted energy space. If you have to sit and wait for a connecting flight, upload a few meditations in your iphone and listen to a meditation at your gate.

3.)  When you have gotten to your destination and have put your clothing away, settle yourself into a comfortable seated position and pull your energy back from the travel and the day. You will be surprised at how much better you feel when you have brought all your energy back to you.

Hotel room and sleep

1.)  Now that you are in your hotel room, ground the room and the bed.   Clear the energy of the previous occupants from the room by doing the following: Place a spiritual rose in each of the four ceiling and four floor corners of the room, eight roses in all. Draw a line, from each of the roses to the center of the room where you create one big rose in the center of the room and drop a grounding cord from the central rose to the center of the earth. Set the center rose on release and see the room clear of foreign and left over energies.

Do the same grounding technique with the bed.

2.)  When I am booking my stay, if one is not included in the room, I have a refrigerator delivered to the room that I can put my organic and healthy food choices in. This will help you have the nutrition and comfort that your body needs to relax, feel safe and supported.

3.)  When you are ready for sleep, I recommend you do a short meditation in the room, ground your body, and allow your spirit to float just above your body as you drift to sleep. If you feel a bit hyper from the stress of traveling, do a meditation like “clearing the stress syndrome.”  One extra trick I do for a night where sleep seems difficult is imagine a spiritual hand applying pressure to the pineal gland, a little gland that releases melatonin. This triggers a release of melatonin and has done the trick for me many nights away from the comfort of my own bed.

A few final thoughts about happy, healthy travel

You may have had some trauma with travel in this life, or in some other life, and are now being triggered with a kind of posttraumatic stress. In such a case, come into a miraculous healing weekend. Part of this program is five hours of magnificent brain healings.  This will likely remove the trauma.  An alternative is a one-to-one session with me or one of my certified miraculous healers. Your mind is very powerful. Intend to love yourself and provide a beautiful experience for yourself rather than letting the chaos of life dictate your experience. You are in the driver’s seat when it comes to travel. I encourage you to love yourself enough to have happy and balanced travel, safe and supported.
