It’s no secret that neuroscience is studying the brains of those who meditate to understand why meditation has such incredible effects on the entire human experience. What you might not have heard is that meditation causes the brain to actually grow! So, just like an athlete exercising a muscle, the meditation exercises the brain and the prefrontal cortex actually grows! Don’t worry about having a monster-sized brain ~ it’s not going to happen! LOL

Also, if you’re an overachiever please don’t make this another thing to stress about. Your brain will improve and blossom and you don’t need thousands of hours to get this great affect. The great news is that in as little as 5 minutes once or twice a day you’ll move towards excellent brain health, with more happiness, connection and ease.


Studies show that after meditating people feel calm and peaceful. They display a heightened awareness and compassionate empathy. I like to think of this post meditation condition as evidence that a person’s tanks are now refueled ~ they have taken themselves out of ‘slogging’ through life in survival mode and come back to themselves as a human spirit in a physical temple. What we witness with a person who uses meditation routinely ~ ‘consistent acts of greatness, generosity and kindness brought on by connection with their own divinity’.

Research shows that meditation permanently rewires the brain and increases all the happiness factors, lowers stress and improves immune function. So your chemistry works better when you’re in there (owning) your brain, sweeping out the cobwebs and sitting in your (control center) ever-single day!

And if you are a multi-tasker like me with your brain going a mile a minute, good news, meditation is the brain detox you’ve been looking for! As you still the mind and quiet the barrage of thoughts, music, games, noise and traffic ~ as you drop deeply into your essence, you activate the parasympathetic system. In this place you grow younger, clearer and radiantly wonderful!

How to Meditate is a core training I hope all my serious students will dive into because it is rich with answers and there are 4 full weeks to practice each style of meditation to gain both skill and results in each proven system,

In our three-part training you will increase your awareness and skill with the regular practice of meditation. You’ll learn how to meditate properly using 4 unique styles of meditation:

Guided Imagery. This is my favorite teaching and training style so if you have studied with me for awhile you’ll be familiar with this powerfully effective style. During each session we will clear blocks to efficiency and ability in each style. our focus will be on removing anchors and spiritual interference, as well as agreements, not to be able to have the meditation skills needed for deep connection.practice, Our goal is freeing up your ability to connect deeply with yourself and your inner guidance.

Mantra Jappa (word). We’ll be chanting our way to bliss as we repeat the mantra and draw to us Divine grace. I had the joy of renewing my skills with mantra while traveling on a holy pilgrimage attending an international peace conference in Holy India as a speaker and delegate at age 33. It was there in the outdoor temples of Bangalore, I sat at the feet of the 36 foot towering Image of Panderunga, ‘god of white light’ and studied with the Brahman priest who spoke no English. I learned everything from sound and will teach you how to both enter the mantra practice in the right devotional space, and pronounce the words as the were meant to be chanted, using the ancient melody.

Prana Yam (breath) . I learned Prana Yam also while in India with Guruji Keshavadas who used both breath and mantra, like the Gyatri, to energize the brain and body. The meditation of breath is best for both renewing and restoring life force and for activating the kundalini at the base of the spine. Some folks use Prana Yam to drop added pounds, so whatever your goal is, this meditation is invigorating and energizing. and creative sides to the brain and help with communication throughout the brain and body. It balances the logical and creative sides to the brain and helps with communication throughout the brain and body. It is especially important to also clear rights, ability and permission to use these parts of the brain, even if you’re fully regenerated.

SilenceThis meditation is possibly the hardest to do as the active mind wants to run with a thought and go jogging. In our final class, where we have done much to quiet and still the mind, we will introduce you to the way in to this reflective brain ownership meditation, that does indeed serve to cleanse the brain (when successful) of all spiritual interferences, quieting the mind and supporting spirit in full ownership of the body as well as truly restoring connection with the Divine.
