Health and Happiness through Uplifting Vocabulary
What your mind believes, you create as your reality. How your mind interprets the world comes from your consistent use of language. Who you are now and how deeply you live into your passionate life is directly related to the things you tell yourself and others over and over again. How big you play and your soul satisfaction is expressly related to your choice of syntax.
My habit has been to be delighted with my work and wear myself completely out at the end of each business day. When friends and family would ask me how I was, I would say ‘happy and tired.’ My end of the day mantra had consistently been ‘I am so tired’.
I discovered that this flaw in my speaking several months back and enthusiastically shifted to a new end of day mantra:
‘I am relaxed and blissful’.
Do you notice how the energy of the word improved? When we speak, the words fall on our own mind like self-hypnosis. As I utter these new words, I help my mind and body respond in a much more satisfying and uplifting way.
My mind is now believing everything is in perfect order. When I used to say I am tired, my body complied by responding with exhausted, worn out feelings.
With ‘blissfully relaxed’ as my new mantra, I have transformed my evenings. They are significantly more enjoyable. One night I surprised myself and found I had a lot of physical energy, so I did a Turbo Jam aerobic workout. Super fun!
