I am reading in Chronicles and discovering more details about the giants experienced in the time of King David. We know absolutely that King David came up against the giant Goliath and won the battle with his slingshot.
That is the first giant mentioned in relation to David.
There are at least 3 mentions of the Giants Valley.
1 Chronicles 11:15-16: And three of the thirty chiefs went down to the rock, to David, to the cave of Odollam, and the camp of the Philistines was in the Giants Valley.
1 Chronicles 14:9: And the Philistines came together and assembled themselves together in the Giants Valley.
1 Chronicles 14:13: And the Philistines assembled themselves once more in the Giants Valley.
We then see another phenomenon:
Lion-like men and lion-faced men
11:22 … Many were the acts of Cabassel: he smote two lion-like men of Moab, and he went down and smote a lion in a pit on a snowy day.
11:23 And he smote an Egyptian 4 cubits higher (giant) …
12:8 And from Gad these separated themselves to David from the wilderness, strong, mighty men of war bearing shields and spears, and their faces were as the face of a lion, and they were nimble as roes upon the mountains in speed.
The sons of giants. Here we learn giants can also reproduce. This was not a given. The Gregori were the fallen angels who had sex with human women, but here we see the reference to “sons of giants.” This may account for the size differentiation of the bones found, 8′-36′ in height.
4 … Sobochai the Sosathite smote Saphut of the sons of the giants and laid him low.
5 And there was war again with the Philistines; and Eleanan the son of Jair smote Lachmi the brother of Goliath the Gittite, and the wood of his spear was as a weaver’s beam.
What is this, a weaver’s beam? For the physics of our Goliath’s spear beam to work properly with a 16 lb. 11 oz. spearhead and the height of Goliath, we choose a 10′ long, 2″ diameter pole, including a 6 lb. 1.2 oz. counterweight, giving our spear a total length of 12 ft. 7 in. This is not to say the spear could not have been even longer. The Bible doesn’t give us the exact length. However, the length we calculated for our replica would allow Goliath to have a center of balance to hold the spear easily with one hand about 62 inches from the tip.
6 And there was again war in Geth, and there was a man of extraordinary size, and his fingers and toes were six on each hand and foot, four and twenty; and he was descended from the giants (son of a giant).
7 And he defied Israel, and Jonathan the son of Samaa, the brother of David, slew him.
8 These were born to Rapha in Geth; all four were giants, and they fell by the hand of David, and by the hand of his servants.
Although the Smithsonian has attempted to erase from history the role of giants, we can still find evidence and photographs of the bones. I was told they took all the giant bones that were hidden in the basement of the Smithsonian and tossed them into the deepest part of the sea. This tests 90% true, so there is validity to this claim.
It takes a lot of digging, but after many articles claiming to debunk the claim of giant bones, I found this article that quasi-reported at least where it started.
(“The Smithsonian has been at the center of a vast cover-up of America’s true history since the 1880s,” Richard Dewhurst wrote in The Ancient Giants Who Ruled America.) To that end, where such information is available, gigantologists have pointed to cases where newspapers reported that “giant” bones were dispatched to the Smithsonian Institution or other museums, and yet the same museums maintain that they have no record of the arrival or storage of any such remains of Nephilim.
And I have heard that the book referred to above is an excellent read.
I believe the Bible literally, and what it shares about these creatures that came from the fallen Gregori watcher angels is true, 99%. And the Nephilim race that came after. One woman felt the government had a file on these individuals and kept track of them. She felt that she was always under some kind of energetic and invasive surveillance. Perhaps that would be a topic for another article.
