There are 3 aspects of God: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. We are created in the image and likeness of God. The aspect of us that is the Father is the immortal soul. We are much like the Son, both of God and of flesh, and then we look to understand how we are like or have that part which is the Holy Spirit.

Job 33:4
The Spirit of God has made me, and the breath of the Almighty gives me life.

Genesis 2:7
God breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.

The Holy Spirit is known for many things. He is God who is with us, who loves and nurtures us, who speaks to us and comforts us in times of trouble. As I did my study of scriptures early morning, I saw in the verses I read that the Holy Spirit comes upon us and fills us with wisdom.

The gift of the Holy Spirit is available to those who firmly believe in God. The scripture speaks of those who are blind and those who can see.

Here are the descriptions of the sinner who will endure God’s wrath. This person has no access to the Holy Spirit.

  • Transgressor

  • Blasphemer

  • Sinner

  • Evil deed-doer

  • Apostasy

  • Unclean

  • Idolater

Apostasy is an old English word, not used much today, but the meaning is surely known to us: abandoning previous loyalty to God and faith, or renouncing or abandonment of religion, and for my part, I am going to say abandonment of God, His word, and dominion.

Found in the 91st book of Enoch, he shares:

The Spirit is poured out upon me. …
Righteous arise from their sleep…
Wisdom shall arise and be given unto them.

One of the 44 gifts of the Holy Spirit is wisdom. Imagine wisdom being poured out upon you. Such a beautiful gift and an amazing realization, having been asleep and now becoming
