Let me ask you a question. Is there a ‘Christian’ View of the Chakras? What do you think?

A  few days ago, I awoke from sleeping, went to my computer in the dark, and started searching for scripture related to the chakras. I wondered, did Jesus Christ ever address the mechanisms we call chakras? I found no scripture directly related to them from the Christian tradition, but I found many articles of people who were saying they were giving Christian advice. I was actually really surprised at what I was reading and clipped a few of the comments that we can explore in this conversation.

I am not including the authors, this is not about making them wrong, it is about looking at what thoughts are out there that contribute to group mind, in this case, related to chakras.

From article 1

So… if we believe that ALL things were made by God for God’s purposes, then we can consider: How can energy be used for God’s purposes according to his design? How might the healing power of Jesus be found as we journey through the chakras with Christ?

We do know very clearly, that God did not make chakras. We know that they were added to the DNA, so they would manifest as we developed in a body, by age 7 we would have all the mechanisms -chakras that would be used to collect/drain off energy from us by several alien races.

She brings up the healing power of Christ, but nowhere in scripture have I ever seen a reference to Jesus Christ referring to chakras.  So if we take the assumptions out and look at these things, They do not look like anything God created that exists in us, they look like a kind of machine. They test as making us more like synthetic and take us away from God’s blessings.

From Article 2

The Symbolic Meaning of the Sacraments and Chakras Compared.

Below is XXX’s comparison of each chakra and each sacrament. If you’ve never seen it before, I think you’ll find it interesting.

  1. The first chakra: lessons related to the material world Baptism: to receive or bestow an expression of grace representing gratitude for one’s life in the physical world.
  2. The second chakra: lessons related to sexuality, work, and physical desire Communion: to receive or bestow an expression of grace—in the form of a “host”—that represents holy union with God and with the people in one’s life.

At the beginning of the article, this author warns against being deceived and then progresses to teach the chakras related to the 7 sacraments. This is a collapse of ideas. Part of the realization of how things get integrated into culture as true is this kind of conversation where the two separate issues get enmeshed with each other and the mind begins to see them as true. Let me again point out, that no scripture I have found has Jesus talking about the things she is mentioning above, they simply do not go together.

From Article 3

When someone uses their God-given free will to turn their face towards God, they attain a purified soul. The seven archangels then sound the “seven trumpets” releasing the dormant kundalini energy trapped within the root chakra. Once this occurs, this primal kundalini energy will move up the spine. This fully activates the chakra system into a blissful state of oneness, a direct experience of Christ Consciousness. This fills one with the grace and the Light of God, further advancing the soul’s ascension. Through kundalini activation, the ego can be transcended. It is then able to absorb the light and grace of God, burning away the “seven seals” that block the soul from evolving.

Archangels do blow their trumpet when someone commits to God wholly this is true, this does not release dormant kundalini .. and then it implies this is a Christian blessing to have the chakras and kundalini flowing in us filling us with God’s grace. God did not create the chakras, nor did he create kundalini. there is no scripture pointing to this. I used to teach about the chakras, color, form, and even tune-up, and flow, but these issues laid out by these 3 writers leave me completely appalled and shocked

The last article I read I am not seeing immediately, but it referred to the revelations quote about the 7 lamp stands. Here is what I believe they were referring to:

In  Revelation 1:12-13 John has a vision of Jesus standing amid seven candlesticks: “And I turned to see the voice that spoke with me. And being turned, I saw seven golden candlesticks; And in the midst of the seven candlesticks one like unto the Son of man, clothed with a garment down to the foot, and girt about the paps with a golden girdle.” Jesus spoke to John in the vision: “The mystery of the seven stars that you saw in my right hand and of the seven golden lampstands is this: The seven stars are the angels of the seven churches, and the seven lampstands are the seven churches” Rev 1:20

This is the revelations dream of John. So he does say his understanding is Jesus is speaking with him, yet even so, if you know the history of the early church, there were 7 early churches teaching the word of Christ. There were 7 angels, one helping each of the early churches. This is accurate. To leap to the 7 candlesticks stars, 7 sacraments or anything else tied together with 7 chakras is a leap I see no correlation to and would not make.

I do not want to make these writers wrong, I want to point out many leaps are being made of chakras to integrate them somehow into Christian culture, but this is a lie on so many levels.

They do not come from God, they are mechanisms. They take away our God’s blessing and add an element that makes us more synthetic. They are used to siphon off life force and energy slowly, and when removed it is a very tangible experience of relief.

  • I was attending Julie Renee’s retreat when she told us the intention to remove the chakras. I didn’t doubt to remove them because my brother used to tell me that the chakras are not good for us. The chakras were like a web covering my body. It was such a relief getting rid of them. Now, my organs have more space to accommodate in the body. Also, the shape of my cranial bones changed after the removal of the chakras; the trembling of my mouth joints disappeared, and my womb is much lighter.   Maria Laura
