Blockbuster film ‘My Week with Marilyn’ currently in theaters gives us a peak into the life of Ms Monroe American film’s most famous sex symbol of all time. Her talent and her beauty brought her to the big screen and decades later still wins her a favorite place on home theater. Marilyn’s fragile life and her struggles with depression, anxiety, drugs and bad boys brought her life to a close much too soon.
I recently had the pleasure of interviewing Barbara Niven, who played Ms Monroe in the HBO film ‘The Rat Pack’. Barbara, who is the former daughter in law of David Niven, and has acted in more than 260 films residing in Hollywood California, revealed her connection to Marilyn and her struggle to overcome a debilitating emotional illness.
Barbara struggled with Bulemia for 26 years and now dedicates her life to helping young women overcome and take a healthy path towards beauty. (to hear our interview with Actress Barbara Niven http://www.blogtalkradio.com/miraculousliving/2011/06/23/…)
One of the major difficulties with actresses is they are constantly needing to ‘assume the character’ and play the role of another. They begin to lose their personal sense of self love, self awareness and connection to their core self. We see this time and again. A shocking example hit the news last week; Demi Moore over dosed on (vapors), sadly just four days after we had mentioned our concern for Ms Moore in our previous article on cosmetic surgery.
The problem today is that American woman are watching the Female Film Royalty and absorbing their lifestyles as role models. The function of routine cosmetic surgery as a quick fix, the glaring lack of self awareness, self affinity, and self love have sponsored a dangerous affect and impact on the Women across the country.
With low self love and low self esteem women are trying to buy their happiness rather than feel their happiness. They do not realize happiness and authentic beauty come from the inside out. It has nothing to do with a purchased procedure or an unexamined life.
Women spend a fortune on the elusive happiness maker and end up no better in the end of their journey. The Cosmetic Industry enjoys 45- 66 billion dollar business world wide, yearly one America women spend an average $12,000.
The standard of happiness in the west is valued by what you can buy or acquire rather than who you can BBBBEEEE.
Being beautiful from the inside out begins with loving the you reflected in your mirror every morning. Relax and see yourself blessed and beautiful.
You can deepen yourself love, experiencing beauty from the inside out by implementing a life strategy that includes
1. Joyous exercise. Get out in nature, breath in the fresh air, dance play have fun stretch, join a yoga class. The most important element is that you are having fun BEING…..This is not a doing exercise.
2. Make Healthy Meal Choices. Spend 5 minutes in the morning planning your food intake for the day, ask yourself what would really nourish you today? Watch yourself succeed!
3. Take time to slow down. Beautiful from the Inside Out is embodied when you consistently meditate 30 minutes a day. You literally bring back to your body your vitality and youth every day.
4. Laugh. Your authentic self shows up when you laugh and smile. You become enchantingly beautiful and irresistible as you implement number 4 all day long!
As women in the film industry struggle to find their way back to a joyful life it is time to step into balance and a self loving lifestyle.
