As I read the Book of Enoch, and the time before what we know of recorded history, the time before creation in the garden, there is warfare. The spiritual battle is caused by defiant angels. I find this interesting; you think the start of it is with demons, but that is not the case. The angels (Watchers), 200 of them, have seen the beauty of human women and defile themselves by mating with women.
The story in the movie City of Angels with Nicolas Cage and Meg Ryan makes the whole thing a love story, but in actuality 200 angels made an agreement to mate with beautiful human women and have children – giants who were pure evil. The Book of Enoch said all the angels mated with just one human woman and took her as a wife, but this was entirely against God’s wishes.
The defiance of angels causes the rapid corruption of the whole human race.

The spiritual battle is not just incinerating demons; it is discovering and removing evil from our way of life. What does God want us to know now? What will align with a godly, righteous lifestyle? What is God’s plan for us?
