One of my girlfriends is going through a divorce, and on the way she began losing weight, looking worrisomely thin. I spoke to her about my concern and asked how I could support her. I mentioned that I love her, that she will always be loved and important. 

A few weeks later, she’s now put on a few pounds of muscle and is looking quite a bit stronger. 

Going through a divorce is a natural time to either become sad and depressed or kick into high gear with self care. But what about feeling of let down and disappointment with the lockdown, and maybe even some smaller challenges in life. How do you handle the let downs and turn sour grapes into sweet wine?

Honestly I think it’s all about self care. Are you getting enough time for reflection and meditation? What about massage, facial nails? And working out are you getting in your hikes, swim or tennis?

Whenever I notice myself going down, I remember what it takes to be me. I run 2 businesses, (the academy and Airbnb) Care for my daughter who has many extra needs, and take care of a big property.

To do that I need to always have on my schedule enough joy boosting activities to keep my emotional tanks full so I can keep on giving at the level I love.

I challenge you today to take on adding 3 items to your schedule this week that will heighten your self care. Are you in?
