Why did God create us? What was His intent?
God formed the man of dust and breathed upon his face the BREATH OF LIFE, and man became a LIVING SOUL….and God brought a trance upon Adam and he slept, and He took one of his ribs and filled up the flesh instead thereof. And God formed the rib which He took from Adam into a woman… Genesis 2:7, 28
Here we have a couple of important gifts of God to pay attention to: Breath of Life and Living Soul.
The Breath of Life is not just animating man and woman; it is actually the gift of God’s Spirit in us. Beings like the giants created by the mating of fallen angels with humans did not have the Breath of Life.
When God shortens the life expectancy from 1,000 years to 120 years, He says, “And the Lord God says, MY SPIRIT shall certainly not remain among these men forever, because they are flesh, and their days shall be 120 years.” Genesis 6:7. This was at the time of Noe, or Noah.
Our spirit is His Breath.
As God is explaining the corruption of man by the specific fallen angels, He says something so beautiful and amazing about us in our original creation state.
“Men were created exactly like angels, to the intent that they should continue pure and righteous, and death, which destroys everything, could not have taken hold of them…”
Enoch 69:11
And I want to bring in one more scripture here about how our body changed as we left the garden.
And the Lord made Adam and his wife garments of skin and clothed them. Genesis 3:22
Adam said, “Bone of my bone, flesh of my flesh.” Now, upon leaving the garden, they were not only bone and flesh, but they were also clothed in skin. Still, this body, for the next 10 generations, could live almost 1,000 years. With the advent of skin and the removal from the garden, they began to mate and have children. Children were not part of the garden experience.
The expulsion from the garden was because of the disobedience to God, eating the fruit from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. It is said a serpent enticed Eve to disobey the express wishes of God. This was caused by the 5th fallen evil angel, Kasdeju, who taught death to humans, starting with how to kill an embryo in the womb. He also taught to read and write, but unfortunately this led to death, as this evil angel was teaching evil, along with the other fallen angels teaching evil things: sorcery, debauchery, hedonism, and defiance to God.
Coming back to who God created us to be: quite beautifully pure, righteous beings, who were blessed with the Breath of Life and His Spirit, along with our immortal soul. He had imagined us as so blessed, never having to die, but living for an eternity in the blessings of a simple, wondrous life.
