I have a chant we seldom sing, very simply goes
Who is that that is no thing?
That which makes the river flow freely.
Have you ever wondered what is behind the wind and the rain, what drives the crashing waves or causes the great rushing rivers the flow into the oceans?
To acknowledge there is more is the first step in feeling the awe and wonder of life.
I have often heard folks reject the path of Christianity saying, your scripture says fear God, who wants to participate in a religion you fear God? Yet it has been discovered that the ancient word was misinterpreted to fear, also had meant be in awe, or awestruck.
What would cause us to be awestruck? It would have to be something so magnificent we could no longer speak, but only revel in the field of Joyous revelation!
Could you imagine witness God in this earth in this way? Who colors the sunset and lights up the rainbow, who makes the start twinkle and the moon glow brightly. Find more ways to experience the awe and wonder of God on earth this week!
