The march into Jerusalem on the back of a Donkey, as people saw Jesus for who he was, the Son of God, and at that moment the people were united in their joy.
So they took branches of palm trees and went out to meet him, crying out, “Hosanna! Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord, even the King of Israel!” ~ John 12:13
When Jesus entered Jerusalem, the whole city was stirred and asked, “Who is this?” The crowds answered, “This is Jesus, the prophet from Nazareth in Galilee.” ~ Matthew 21:10-11
Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion! Shout aloud, O daughter of Jerusalem! Behold, your king is coming to you; righteous and having salvation is he, humble and mounted on a donkey, on a colt, the foal of a donkey. ~ Zechariah 9:9
But this day is not just the triumphant day of recognition, but the beginning of a week of suffering, death, and finally resurrection.
The day of the palm branches being laid down was a day God’s heavenly light showed through on earth. Jesus nearing the end of his days on earth, surrounded by all the heavenly hosts, angels lit His way into Jerusalem.
I wonder about the days after Maundy Thursday with the betrayal of Judas, Was He being held up by the angels at this time? I got 3 death angels who were with him. They were a comfort to Him.
I wonder about this timeline that has been given to us. It seems to me it was much longer, perhaps these events took place not in one week but more like 8 weeks.
I know somehow sacrifice makes sense to the people of this world, but I from my perspective struggle with it. The folks who use sacrifice now are the luciferin-driven Satanists. Why would this be the path of redemption?
I have to think that it was showing the purity of God, that nothing, not even the death of the body could kill the immortal soul of Christ.
He took on the sins of the world so that the doorway might be open to those who believed in Him to have access to heaven, despite being impure.
I think that few people rose into Heaven prior to Christ’s crucifixion. They were far from who God had created them to be. The blood of Christ covered over their impurities. There is a realm of Heaven for Christians.
If we break apart all we have been told by the church and let our minds wander into God’s minds, I believe there is a deeper truth to be discovered. We must remember that the early church reformed in 365 AD collecting the memories of all those who documented the life of Jesus, edited and tossed aside much of the truth of what was experienced, and kept a narrative that would support the church having control and be an intermediary of the people to God.
I do love the remembrance of Easter and the triumph of Jesus over evil. But each Easter I also weep for the cruelty of some of humanity, that can torture and destroy. The grip that evil has over so many in body. And then I am recommitted to moving evil away in every way I can from as many as I can. I am grateful for our precious Lord Jesus Christ and the blood sacrifice of His life that served a purpose, even though I can struggle with this, I am sure there is clarity when the mind control of the church story clears and more can be known.
