In one week, on December 21rst, the astrologers tell us we are entering the age of Aquarius. We have talked about that in classes from time to time, and with each passing day we are getting closer to the new Age.
This may feel a little confusing to you, you might wonder didn’t we already enter the age of Aquarius in 1976?
Yes we began crossing the threshold of the Age 44 years ago, and it will take another 44 years to fully move into the new age.
When the moon is in the Seventh House
And Jupiter aligns with Mars
Then peace will guide the planets
And love will steer the stars
This is the dawning of the age of Aquarius
Harmony and understanding
Sympathy and trust abounding
No more falsehoods or derisions
Golden living dreams of visions
Mystic crystal revelation
And the mind’s true liberation
Aquarius
~1969 The 5th Dimension
I love this prophetic song and sang it in a summer theater performance in 1972, a wonderful energy, when we actually did have a few summer of love moments, unlike the recent events touting the name summer of love, having nothing to do with this idea.
What does it mean in terms of shifting astrological energies in supporting our personal expression?
The Piscean age was a tough age. It was the age of the Patriarch. An age of Domination, suppression and control. How we approach everything was referenced by winning or losing, how much we had and how much we were in control of.
It’s where the extreme exercise programs came from. All the diets, diet pills and cosmetic surgeries blossomed. A time filled with wars, domination and submission and loss of purity and truth.
In our coming new age, one we have been moving into we are seeing a new path and a new way.
What if you could invite your body along for activities, and physical movement, that would create joy and vibrant health? What if instead of powering through, you could collaboratively with your body not as a slave to push around, but a partner in accomplishing a long vital life, dance, laugh and transition your way to a happy healthy body?
You see, if the old way was to dominate, that meant the influence of domination was in everything. Power 90, a program I used for a few years, was about pushing the body beyond what you believed you could do to accomplish ‘muscles’ you were striving to experience. Making you a lean mean fighting machine, as the trainer used to say.
Nothing wrong with being in excellent condition, but the invitation to the body should be collaboration not domination.
It’s why dieting programs rose and the body fought back causing weight issues obesity to sky rocket.
If you were on that track, you weren’t bringing all parts of you along for the transformation, but instead, looking for a result, one where you might have lost the journey of self-discovery.
This shift, one to aligning with yourself, then your sacred self and your life and mission in truth and purity can be applied to every aspect of living.
I don’t want to say you don’t take the actions needed to move towards your transformation and live the life of a snail (by the way they move very fast, we have them on our property) but the approach leaves out domination suppression and control and exemplifies your strengths and honoring of self and all others.
