For the first time Adelia is seeing the colors of the leaves changing and as the north winds blow, the leaves catch magically on the breeze, dancing across the air til finding a gentle resting place in the luscious green grass. Mommy Look!!!!! Why are they floating that way? Where are they going?
Awe is an amazing thing to witness and even more so to experience yourself first hand.
It is where the expression ‘subhanallah ‘ , an Arabic word expressing the glory of God in nature came from. (sorry I spelled how it sounded). I sing about this in the Message download on our music area as I read the Beautiful Rumi love poetry.
Awe.
I also am aware of the word awe in relation to God and a Hebrew word that is often misinterpreted as fear. The ‘fear of God” actually means in Awe of God beyond words.
This also reminds me of the Bengali poetry I sing in the Gratitude Download, suddhi bias ragie … My God when I open my eyes and really look, I am overwhelmed by the beauty and the glory of your creation!
Children seem to be ready at a moment’s notice to experience this reverence, excitement and thrill. This is such a perfect time to take our blinders off and see through the eyes of purity, truth and beauty. Breath in the beauty, breath it in through your eyes and feel the incredible love the Divine has for you.
Time for resetting to the state of Awe and wonder, even if just for a moment or two each day! Lived loved!
