We had a wonderful breakthrough this week with Henry. The adoption is now scheduled with the courts on February 7! I know we are such a powerful community! So regardless of the many obstacles that have presented during the 15 months, and many issues with workers and lost paperwork, wrong name judges mistakes, guess what? We did it with God’s glorious help!

Henry is amazing. He is funny, loves mischief, runs, and doesn’t walk. He has a huge smile that lights up a room. Henry loves water and wants to play in the hot tub and pool any time we can get in and kick around. His favorite outdoor activity is swinging in the bucket swing. He scoots himself down the fire engine roller coaster like a big boy and rides around on his little cars and submarine.

He is not a big hugger, but at the appointed night time getting ready for bed, he wants his blankie and mommy in the rocking chair in his nursery. He enjoys being a big boy at school; making art is exciting for him, and then he is so very proud to give the art to mommy and have mommy make a big happy fuss about how wonderful the gift he made is.

Henry brings a level of happiness and sweetness to our family. He enjoys going to his library class, and we are in a contest to read 1000 books before he starts kindergarten. We are on book 42 already! When we get to 100, his name goes on the wall at the library, and for each additional hundred, the name gets moved up the scale to 1000, when he wins a beanie baby, and his picture will hang up as a winner on the library wall!

He was very tiny at birth, 3lbs 9 oz, and has made good progress with weight and height but will likely not be a ‘big boy’. At 15 1⁄2 months, he is 19 lbs. He is very active, very happy, and excited about the life ahead of him!

Thank you for helping me for all those who pumped on a chart for him or offered up a prayer. To God be the GLORY!
